BENEFITS OF AN ULTRASOUND
An ultrasound is a non-invasive method of creating a picture of the inside of your pet to provide a diagnosis for strange symptoms or behaviors you may notice from your pet. While an ultrasound does not create an image of an entire area of the body like a radiograph, it does allow our veterinarians to thoroughly examine structure or organs and possible foreign bodies. Ultrasounds are completed with Board Certified Interpretation.
DOES MY PET NEED AN ULTRASOUND?
Some of the most common uses of a veterinary ultrasound are examining ingested foreign objects, distinguishing fluid from tissue in tumor diagnosis and evaluating the function of the heart when diagnosing possible heart disease. If you have a concern about the health of your pet, our experienced staff are available for appointments around-the-clock and will determine if an ultrasound is the best method of diagnosis.
