Meet the Team
Dr. Michelle Misavage-Jones
A graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, Dr. Michelle Misavage-Jones has been with Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care since 1996 when it was named After Hours Small Animal Emergency Clinic. Now a managing partner, she has a special interest in emergency medicine, surgery, and exotic pets.
When not managing the day-to-day aspects of the practice or seeing patients, Dr. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and hiking, canoeing, and camping.
Dr. Vicki Sellers
Dr. Vicki Sellers is a Mississippi native who attended Mississippi State University for her DVM degree. After graduation she moved to Raleigh to complete an internship at the After Hours Small Animal Emergency Clinic. After her internship, Dr. Sellers was an associate at Zebulon Animal Hospital where she was Medical Director for 4 years.
In 2010, Dr. Sellers seized the opportunity to return to emergency medicine and became a Managing Partner at the Animal Emergency Hospital And Urgent Care. Dr. Sellers has special interest in emergency and critical care and soft tissue surgery.
In her free time Dr. Sellers enjoys hiking and traveling with her dogs, painting/art projects, home improvement projects, reading, going to movies, and spending time with friends.
Dr. Rik Wyatt
Dr. Rik Wyatt graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010 and then completed his veterinary emergency internship with Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care. Trained in all aspects of emergency care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets, Dr. Wyatt has a special interest in emergency surgery.
Outside of work he enjoys going for walks with his dogs and working with computers.
Dr. Amanda Gale
Amanda Gale attended North Carolina State University College of Veterinary medicine and graduated in 2012. Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas in Cary, NC. Dr. Gale has remained in emergency medicine since the completion of her internship program. She has a special interest in critical care and medicine cases. Dr. Gale lives with her husband, Brian, 2 dogs, Jordan and Charlie, and two cats, Phoebe and Piper. In her free time, Dr. Gale enjoys cooking and baking, playing pool, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Catherine Coulter
Dr. Coulter is a Raleigh, NC native. She is a 2018 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinarian Medicine. She has a special interest in exotic medicine and surgery. Outside of work she enjoys hiking and camping.
