Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care Transfer Packages

If a patient is being transferred on a weekend or holiday and will need more than 24 hours of hospitalization and treatments, please call for an extended stay estimate.

Observation and minimal treatments. Ideal for overnight monitoring of a post-operative spay/neuter; a patient with paresis (IVDD) that needs observation for progression of disease; or similar.

This package includes:

  1. Hospitalization and observation overnight. Patient may be discharged the following morning with medications sent by the referring veterinarian, or may be transferred back to the referring veterinarian.
  2. Approximately 1 injection. An antibiotic or pain injection may be administered at no additional cost.
  3. Nursing care. Hot/cold packing an incision site, warming until normal body temperature is attained, feeding, etc.

Observation and treatments overnight. Ideal for monitoring of a post-operative complicated spay/neuter, orthopedic surgery, or laparotomy; traumatic injury (hit by car, dog fight); seizure watch; pancreatitis; hemorrhagic gastroenteritis; or similar.

This package includes:

  1. Hospitalization and observation overnight on IV fluids with catheter already in place. Patient may be discharged the following morning with accompanying medications, or may be transferred back to the referring veterinarian.
  2. Approximately 2-3 injections or a constant rate infusion.
  3. PCV/TP
  4. Bandage/wound and general nursing care

Observation and treatments overnight. Ideal for monitoring of a post-operative complicated spay/neuter, orthopedic surgery, or laparotomy; traumatic injury (hit by car, dog fight); seizure watch; pancreatitis; hemorrhagic gastroenteritis; or similar.

This package includes:

  1. Hospitalization and observation overnight on IV fluids with catheter already in place. Patient may be discharged the following morning with accompanying medications, or may be transferred back to the referring veterinarian.
  2. Approximately 4-5 injections or a constant rate infusion.
  3. PCV/TP
  4. Bandage/wound and general nursing care
  5. Hospitalization in our isolation ward if necessary

Continuous monitoring and overnight treatments. Ideal for a post-operative splenectomy, GDV or orthopedic surgery; traumatic injury (hit by car with pulmonary contusions or pneumothorax); seizure watch; parvoviral enteritis; or similar.

This package includes:

  1. Hospitalization and observation overnight on IV fluids with catheter in place, and transfer back to the referring veterinarian.
  2. Approximately 4-5 injections or a constant rate infusion.
  3. Continuous ECG and/or BP
  4. Oxygen therapy
  5. PCV/TP
  6. Bandage/wound and general nursing care

Continuous monitoring and extensive treatments overnight. Ideal for complicated post operative; heat stroke; traumatic injury (including repeat thoracocentesis); diabetic ketotic/ketoacidodic; or similar.

This package includes:

  1. Hospitalization and observation overnight on IV fluids with catheter in place, and transfer back to the referring veterinarian.
  2. Approximately 5-6 injections or a constant rate infusion.
  3. Continuous ECG and/or BP
  4. Oxygen therapy
  5. Plasma transfusion (1 unit)
  6. PCV/TP
  7. Bandage/wound and general nursing care

Designed for patients needing abdominal, soft tissue surgery such as C-section, exploratory laparotomy, simple enterotomy, gastrotomy, or similar. This package includes

This package includes needed treatments such as:

  1. Surgery
  2. Hospitalization and observation overnight on IV fluids with catheter in place, and transfer back to the referring veterinarian.
  3. Approximately 4-5 injections or a constant rate infusion.
  4. PCV/TP
  5. Nursing care

Abdominal, soft tissue surgery such as intestinal resection/anastamosis, GDV, splenectomy, or similar.

This package includes:

  1. Surgery, plus hospitalization and observation overnight on IV fluids with catheter in place, and transfer back to the referring veterinarian.
  2. Approximately 5-6 injections or a constant rate infusion.
  3. Continuous ECG and/or BP
  4. PCV/TP and general nursing care
Unit Set Pricing

The original package cost will cover hospitalization and treatments until the following morning at 8 am. Each additional 6 hours your patient needs to stay will cost one Unit and will cover hospitalization and all treatments for that 6-hour period of time. These Unit prices are designed to be as cost effective as the original Transfer Package prices.
